About Me
Jenn’s love of travel started at a very young age. Her parents were active travelers with a lot of opportunities to see the world because her dad was in the U.S. Navy. The U.S. Navy is what brought her parents to the Philippines Islands where they adopted Jenn when she was two days old. Then within two years of being adopted Jenn was made a naturalized U.S. citizen when she was about 3 years old while her dad was stationed in Hawaii. Her parents love for travel soon ended once they were stationed in Virginia when Jenn was about six year’s old. As Jenn grew up most of her life in Virginia, she would spend most of her summers on road trips to Kansas City to visit her grandparents or at daycare where she would play “ticket agent” with items from her best friend’s mom who happen to work for Qantas Airlines. Little did Jenn know that her imagination would make way to a career in the travel industry.
Once Jenn attended college she had her first opportunity of travel with the Virginia Tech Marching Band and friends. By the time she had graduated she had been on several trips to Walt Disney World in Orlando and an amazing experience in Miami, Florida for the FedEx Orange Bowl. Florida became one of her favorite places to visit. As time went on she began to branch out into cruising because of the Florida ports. He very first cruise was on Disney Cruise Lines, The Wonder. Soon after that, Jenn was addicted to cruising the open water. Some of her favorite cruise lines, not only Disney but also Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Jenn has a very eclectic professional background. Her careers span from being a Human Resource Manager, Financial Analyst, to being a Systems Engineer and rewarding experiences as a Chief Executive Officer for various agency directors of the Department of Defense (DOD.) It wasn’t until she left the DOD to start her entrepreneurial journey that she had the chance to travel beyond the east coast. While building her coaching business, Jenn took part in several business mastermind groups and training courses that took her all over the world. Jenn had the opportunity to do yoga in Costa Rica, kayak in Cancun, a bus adventure to the birthplace of Shakespeare and several trips to California, Hawaii, New York, New Mexico, Colorado, and Louisiana. However, the most impactful trip Jenn experienced that changed her life and perspective of travel was when she landed in Bali.
Bali was Jenn’s soul opening adventure where she was able to experience the culture, food and lifestyle of the Pacific Islands. It was the first place she felt “at home,” because the Balinese community, food and way of living was the closes she had observed to her own heritage. The immersive experience Jenn experienced in Bali deepened her desires to travel back to the Philippine Islands. Once she returned to the U.S., Jenn had an idea to start a wellness retreat business but after some deep soul searching she realized that the real desire was to travel. Not only that, Jenn wanted to create experiences and encourage others to broaden their own culinary and cultural adventures. So with a desire to return to the Philippines one day and create next level immersive experiences abroad for others - her travel agency was born.
